Kindness is being spread at South Laurel High School! Ms. Baxter’s Advertising and Promotion class is showing their appreciation to all members of our school, including: teachers, students, principals, custodians, librarians, and many others. Groups of students are choosing a specific group and discussing how they want to show their appreciation. When Ms. Baxter was asked how she came up with the idea to show appreciation at our school, she replied, “It always feels good to be told, “Good Job” or that you are appreciated.  Every school year, I discuss the importance of “social responsibility” with all of my classes–The fact that there is an “unwritten rule” to give back to your community either as a business owner or as an individual…The Advertising & Promotion class seemed like the perfect place to incorporate a “Promoting Kindness to SLHS” campaign…I feel that students that give back usually develop a sense of accomplishment and it makes them feel good for doing something for other individuals.”
