The Gender Game
Bella Forrest

The Gender Game is a great novel with a dystopian background. What’s different about this novel is that two societies, one ran completely by women and another ran by men, is separated by a toxic river. The book follows Violet Bates whose life has been a wreck since the loss of her brother to the very strict matriarchal society. While sometimes it’s hard to be empathetic with Violet because it seems she can never learn from mistakes, she still manages to make the reader root for her and hope for her success.

The idea of a society split between men and women creates a very different idea on government and leads to an opposite take than most dystopian societies do in novels.

If you’re into a dystopian story with a good protagonist to root for, then I suggest this book to you!

You might like this book if you enjoy: The Hunger Games, Divergent, The 100, etc.
